Gold Standard is a clothing range that was sampled from a painting I did called ‘Gold Standard’ is an attempt of alchemy.

The print on the range is sourced from a painting I did called ‘Gold Standard’ where I learnt how to recreate gold form mixing Red, Yellow and blue. while using my hand style that I have developed over time to illustrate the work.

That painting got sold to a movie producer and now sits in his private estate in Loss Angeles but before it shipped off it was scanned in and I spent weeks colourising the work to suit the material it got printed onto.

I always have an issue with branding and people choosing to wear and represent another designers name or brand as apart of their identity and so I created Gold Standard to uplift the people wearing the brand marking them to be golden. It is about ones inner self and the act of a positive transformation out of a dark place into a space of gold.

All the material used for the outfits are cotton and the work is printed on to the cotton using a CMYK pigment die printing technique specially designed for the material.

The bomber jackets are poly material and printed using sublimation printing technique.

The patterns printed on the range are unique and there is no one wearing the same design. The patterns are designed to suit the body with the blazers going for a very geometric masculine feel and the dress patterns are suited to compliment the figure of a women’s body.

It is about you now as you are golden and you have been through a lot to get to wear you are so celebrate that and don’t look back.
